16 Dec 2021

To wear a weight belt or no will not stop create confusion for gym goers around the globe. But let me help you chose for yourself by giving you some tips.

ADVANTAGES OF WEIGHT BELT

Most newbies will wear a weight belt because they see a buffed guy wearing it and deadlifting 400lbs with ease. But what they do not realize is that the same guy will not use a weight belt while deadlifting 200lbs. Why?? Let’s look at the advantages of using a weight belt to self-explain this question.

1: CORE ENGAGEMENT:

This is the biggest benefit of using a weight belt. You wear a weight belt around your belly which tightens your core and keep it intact which directly keeps your spine stable and supports Posture. This helps you to focus on your breathing and maintain the tempo while lifting weights.

2: LIFT MORE WEIGHTS:

With better core stability comes more strength and a controlled breathing helps you to lift more weights. This is the reason of clear focus and confidence in your ability which comes from using a weight belt.

3: MORE REPETITIONS:

Wearing a weight belt helps you do those extra 2-3 repetitions or push the last bit of gas left in the gas. Feeling strong at the spine give you confidence and helps you lift weights with a faster tempo which in turn also allows for extra repetition which helps you to give more volume to the muscle group.

4: LOOK A BAD ASS:

Wearing a weight belt give you the bad ass of the gym look, pair it up with a long bearded and sweaty gym vest. You surely are goanna make all the chicks run away from you with your butcher look heheheh.

CONCLUSION:

Wearing a weight belt is a personal preference. I personally like to wear then when I am lifting 80% of my one rep mas or I am recovering from an injury. Wearing a weight belt on each and every exercise will make you get used to it and you won’t feel comfortable doing any physical activity without it.
