To Your Fitness Plan

16 Dec 2021

You Decide on a Monday morning that you are goanna bring about a change to the eat and live. You are determined this time and start doing the right things which are required.

But suddenly there is a new project announcement at work or you get the news of your closest cousin getting married and you put your health to rest. These are just simple excuses the devil inside you makes to get back to his comfort zone.

So, here are simple ways to beat the Devil inside you and stick with your Fitness Plan for long term.

1) CHOSE A ROUTINE THAT SUITS YOUR LIFESTYLE THE BEST:

The Biggest mistake people make is they try to copy paste the fitness routine. They do the exact same thing that they have seen other people do and get results. This is what’s wrong with doing so, everyone has a different body, the internal system and more than that a completely different goal, need, daily routine and schedule.

Focus on doing the basis right, like eating the right amount of calories etc. and pick a routine according to your lifestyle and daily routine, the one which helps you to stick with it and is sustainable. Yes, this is what should be your main focus, “SUSTAIABILITY”. If working out in the morning suits you, do that, If KETO or LOW CARB diet is easy for you to keep up with it, do that.

2) MAKE A DAILY SCHEDULE AND STICK WITH IT:

Plan your day, make a schedule and allot time to every task you do in the day. If you only have 60mins to work out, then be so. If you can work out only 4 times a week then stick with it. If you are more comfortable preparing meals in the evening and packing them for the next day, do so. IF you do grocery on a Saturday afternoon, follow it. Sticking to a planned and fixed schedule makes sure you do not miss out on anything and this does the 70% job of ADHERING to your plan.

3) BOOST ON SOCIAL MEDIA:

Go ahead and show off to the world about your New plan, post about your new workout you are doing and the meals you prepare and eat. This will inspire others and also bring a sense of responsibility that you are accountable to all the people looking up to you for motivation. This is the best motivation ever. This keeps you going on days you feel a little low in energy or feel like giving up. Also it’s a great way to engage with people. Listen to their struggle and stories and keep yourself motivated and adds the fun factor as well.

What else do you need, right?

4) ENCOURAGE PEOPLE AROUND YOU TO ADAPT THE SAME:

The most common problem everyone faces is that your family and friends start questioning you and some even mock you just for fun. This makes it difficult for you to stick with the plan always and saying No to people around you always is not possible and at times RUDE as well.

So then, the best way is to gradually encourage people you stay with most of the time to adapt to a healthy lifestyle. Tell them the advantages of it and at times scare them by telling the disadvantages of eating and living in a unhealthy way.

You will see the changes happening soon, suddenly the fried food that MOM cooks is replaced with healthy and tasty salads and other meals. Your friend’s choice of restaurant change and it just makes your life much easier.

5) TREAT YOUSELF AT REGULAR INTERVALS:

Diet and exercises is hectic and puts on lot of stress on your mind and body. Take planned breaks from both. You may at times make your schedule lighter so that you are refreshed and energized to begin again. Treat yourself with all the food you love and stay lying on the bed for those hours. Taking these planned breaks also helps you to recover well and in fact help you to keep making continuous progress.

6) SIGN UP UNDER A COACH WHO WILL KEEP YOU MOTIVATED:

Planning everything on your own and executing it is hectic. Plus, not to ignore the guess work that comes with it. Things may or may not work and it will add up to your frustration. Rather, pick a mentor who knows what will work for you and keep you motivated all the time by bringing in accountability and checking your progress throughout the process.
